Ravens are one of the most intelligent animals in the world. Similar intelligence to a Chimpanzee or Dolphin. They are one of the few animals that don’t act on instinct but can experience anticipation and exercise self control if the end result is a greater reward.
They can fashion and use tools.
They use gestures to communicate.
They mate for life.
Here is my attempt to capture the details and beauty of this often overlooked, yet important player in the ecosystem.
